This album is the soundtrack to a drunken road rage night of alcohol, gambling, sex and rock and roll. This is what happens when you mix three guys, a full tank of high octane gas and a shit load of beer.

With 18-wheeler guitars and bass like a semi-truck barreling down the highway firing drum fills like a rock cannon at women and children and little kittens.

Set the bass to stun:

Keyclub with D.R.I. and Nothing Yet - November 17, 2002

Place: KeyClub - Hollywood
Bands: Nothing Yet, Bad Samaritans, New Society of
Anarchists, D.R.I.

The show was set to begin and we were all very excited to see D.R.I. (Dirty Rotten Imbelciles) One of the oldest punk bands in the history of metal punk.
The show started out with an awesome band from the valley called Nothing Yet . These guys seriously rocked the place. Punk with melodic hardcore, drunk punk to reggae, then back to straight out rock and roll. This will definatly be a band to watch in the future.
Next up was the Bad Samaritains. These guys have been around for ever and a day. They shreded hardcore punk style. Next up was the New Society of Anarchists. They were from Wisconsin. Well like the cheese there they stunk up the place pretty bad. The same chords rings for more than 40 minutes tends to cut at your ear drums. Finally D.R.I. got up on stage and slaughtered the crowd. They kicked major ass for over an hour. Still the kings of metal/ punk/hardcore.

Agression, Bad Samaritans, Nothing Yet & Go Long @ Rumors (N. Hollywood) - February 2, 2002

This show turned out to be a very unique experience. It was my first show in a lesbian bar. It was my first time seeing Agression. It was my first show where a drag queen was doing the sound for the bands. Also between bands the drag queen took over duties as the house D.J. and treated everyone to her/his favorite eighties and seventies grooves. It was very different. Actually it was a really cool place. Drinks weren’t too overpriced, and they let the crowd get pretty rowdy. People were up front breaking bottles and slamming against the mirrored wall, and not one person who worked there seemed to care. The only time I saw someone in the crowd get reprimanded was when this guy was punching one of the disco balls hanging from the ceiling. That was not acceptable. Heh! I also got to hang out with Patches from Naked Aggression and the guys from Agression.
The band Nothing Yet came on and sounded great. I think they must be locals because the bar was covered with their stickers. They reminded me of a harder edged Face to Face. They also did a great cover of the NOFX song “Linoleum”. I would definitely like to see this band again and hear more. Good stuff!....... more

NOTHING YET - Self Titled (Self Released) - May 5, 1999

Nothing Yet have been grinding out some humorous yet tough songs since 1993. This cd has stuff written between 1997 and 1999 but it's still fresh to the ears. I love the grinding guitars on this release. It reminds me of the Butthole Surfers. Somehow they combine a melodic sensibility with a rough and tumble sound that makes them stand apart from tons of other bands. "Say Your Prayers" was one of my favorites and kind of had a metal theme going and "Organic" leaned a bit more to the Ramonesque style of pop punk. Not once did I slip off into boredom while listening to this as I do at times with other cds. Every song had a distinctive touch and kept me interested. It's just too bad that this is 3 years old. I wouldn't mind hearing some more up to date stuff. Hell, even the web site on the insert is outdated. Luckily, I found their new site at nothingyet.la
